Pursuant to section 3.59 of the Lusaka Securities Exchange Listing Requirements, the Board of Directors of Copperbelt Energy Corporation PLC (“CEC” or the “Company”) wishes to announce the appointment of Mr John Chiwele as an Independent Non-Executive Director on the CEC Board, effective 1st January 2026.

Mr Chiwele is an accomplished Accounting and Finance professional with a working career spanning three decades, focusing on corporate decision-making at the highest level. He has vast experience in strategic and business planning, capital investment appraisals and implementation, corporate finance, controllership, treasury and working capital management, risk management, taxation as well as system design and implementation, among other fields. He has served in various senior executive capacities and held directorship on numerous Boards.

Mr Chiwele possesses a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and is a Fellow Member of ZICA and ACCA.

The Board wishes to congratulate Mr Chiwele on his appointment as an Independent Non-Executive Director to the Board and looks forward to his contributions to the Company.
