JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA – Copperbelt Energy Corporation Plc (CEC) has earned the Media Relations Award of the year at the Corporate Affairs Africa Gala and Awards, marking a continental endorsement of the Company’s leadership in strategic communication, stakeholder engagement and media relations.

The award affirms CEC’s commitment to timely, transparent and responsive communication with its key stakeholders, including media.

Speaking at the event, Corporate Affairs Africa Advisory Board Chairperson, Moeketsi Max Manoeli, said corporate affairs practitioners have a critical role in building trust and strengthening collaboration across markets, industries and borders.

According to the award citation, CEC distinguished itself through proactive communication on energy security, renewable energy investments, sustainability commitments and regional power infrastructure development during a period of significant transformation in Zambia’s energy sector.

Receiving the award on Sunday, August 9, 2026, CEC Advisor for Public Relations, Pamela S. Mupoti, said the recognition reflected CEC’s commitment to open, accurate and timely communication, and acknowledged the media’s important role in helping stakeholders understand the Company’s strategy, investments and contribution to Zambia’s energy sector.
